AUM Tennis Welcomes Six Newcomers to the Roster for the 2020 Season

The newcomers include five freshmen and one transfer junior. Lady Warhawks Lose to Mississippi College

BY: Brandon Barker The Lady Warhawks were swept by Mississippi College on Friday, losing a pivotal conference game. The Lady Choctaws won 3-0 against the Warhawks in a home game that helped boost their confidence as the season winds down.  Mississippi College moves on with a record 10-19 and a total of 5 conference wins. AUM Men’s Basketball vs. Florida Tech University

This was only the second meeting of the two schools— the Warhawks won the previous matchup in 2018 (71-65). AUM Men’s Basketball vs. Rollins College

The gymnasium went into an uproar as the Warhawks took the court and formed their pre-game lay-up line, and as the shot clock wound down, the excitement continued to grow. This was the second matchup between the Warhawks and the Tars— in 2018, the Tars defeated AUM (86-76). AUM Men’s Soccer Weekend Recap

BY: Allison Singleterry Auburn University at Montgomery’s men’s soccer team traveled to Mississippi to participate in two conference matches.  The Warhawks played the number one team in the conference, Mississippi College, on November 1. The men’s team lost 2-0. Mississippi College outshot AUM 12-6, with 6 of them being on goal, while AUM only had two shots on goal during the match. AUM fouled Mississippi College Choctaws 18 times, while the Choctaws fouled the Warhawks 13 times. AUM vs. Montevallo Recap

BY: Allison Singleterry Auburn University at Montgomery men’s soccer team is now 3rd in the Gulf South Conference standings after beating University of Montevallo in a rematch on Tuesday. They now have a conference record of 4-0-2. Montevallo is currently ranked eighth in the GSC standings and has a conference record of 3-3. AUM originally played Montevallo on Oct. 18. Unfortunately for AUM’s women’s soccer team, they are having trouble putting together a complete game. This road test proved to be one of AUM’s toughest matchups so far.  The West Georgia Wolves are currently (9-7) and undefeated in the Gulf South Conference, with a record of (4-1) at home and a (3-4) record at neutral locations. Spring Hill outshot the Warhawks 22 to 12 shots, but both teams had five shots on goal the whole game. Thorne became the head coach of the men’s soccer program back in December and is now coaching his first official season as a head coach this semester.
