Student Life in College: Importance of Health and Wellness

Newsfitness, Mental Health

By: Deshala Wilkins  Running towards great health and a great semester through health and wellness practices.  As college students, we put a lot of things before our health and wellness. Getting up early in the morning to attend classes, staying up late at night to finish homework, studying for quizzes and exams and trying to keep up with life on campus begin to become a main priority in college. Often, we get blindsided by all the positive and negative glories that college has to offer. We tend to prioritize other things while in college like homework, classes, and parties to…

Coming back for Spring Semester will be much easier if you do these 5 things! 1. Do your laundry and purge all the clothes you do not need. - It’s easy to do laundry and toss it on a chair and not think twice. Sometimes it’s even easier to toss any of the laundry (dirty or clean) into a chair and not think about it. But you’ll be happier…

Thank You, AUM

Opinion, University

By: Van Cathcart III When I arrived at this university in Fall of 2016, I had no intention of staying here. My eyes were looking forward to greener pastures at another school. Auburn University at Montgomery was supposed to be a steppingstone for me, but it ended up being the perfect place for me to be. People say that everything happens for a reason, and if you would’ve told me that after my first semester after finishing with a 1.7 grade point average, I might have given you some choice words. I didn’t realize I needed the wake-up call that…

Auburn Football fire Bryan Harsin

News, Sportsathletics

By: Van Cathcart III After two seasons, on Oct. 29, Auburn relieved Bryan Harsin from his head coaching duties. The firing came less than 48 hours after the Tigers lost to Arkansas at home by 14 points. The team dropped to 3-5 on the season and is in danger of not getting to participate in a Bowl Game at the end of the year, the first time this will have happened since 2012.  Harsin ends his tenure at Auburn with a 9-12 record, a less-than-ideal record when you are playing in the powerhouse that is the SEC. “President [Christopher] Roberts…
