Incoming freshmen have something to look forward to this upcoming Summer due to the fact that they will have the pleasure of attending orientation on a particular date at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM). Although orientation at AUM seems like you are going to a day camp it is much more than that. At orientation at AUM, students can: register for classes, get their Warhawk identification cards, tour the beautiful campus, meet others that could potentially be their classmates, learn about the services students get and they can ask any unanswered questions that may be lingering in their mind before their first semester. This article will give new students a better look at why orientation will be great for them this upcoming Summer 2023.
In a description on AUM’s website it reads, “The Office of Orientation and Transitions is here to help you get to know the program, services and resources that will position you for academic success and involvement in a diverse and vibrant campus community”. This should give readers a comfortable look into what they should expect when they arrive at AUM. Keturah Stone, a student at AUM said, “she enjoyed her time at orientation because it gave her an opportunity to join a club and gave her a good energy going into her first semester”. The dates that AUM will offer for incoming freshmen this summer are May 20, May 26, June 2, June 10, June 23, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 29, Aug. 4 and Aug. 11. Most students will enjoy their time if they go in July because it will give them the perfect amount of time to be able to process what needs to be done before school starts next Fall in August. This goes for incoming transfer students as well because they must learn about campus and how the system works as a whole.
Freshmen and transfer students will enjoy their years in AUM because the people are truly helpful and likable as a whole. Keep in mind that you must register for one of the dates available online in the “orientation and transitions” section on AUM’s website. Enjoy your years at AUM because it is truly a great atmosphere and will bring you to the top to ensure your success.
