Who’s Hungry?

By: Emma Keith

Let’s talk lunch. Are you feeling pizza, pasta or maybe the famous Warhawk bistro? Not too hungry what about coffee at book and beans? Or maybe just a snack at the bookstore. The opportunities are endless when it comes to getting nutrients at Auburn University at Montgomery. AUM has a mandatory meal, plan for full time undergraduate students. On-campus residents have a $600 credit per term, and off-campus residents have $100 credit per term but do note “Non-residents may opt to use any other meal plan instead, this just represents the minimum plan a non-resident can choose.  While this information is great you might be wondering where I can spend this credit. The answer is right on campus, AUM has an array of different restaurant and eateries. These include the bookstore for snack and drinks, Corner Creations, Aldente for all of your pasta dreams Books and Beans offers coffee and teas the Pi Pizza co. and everyone’s favorite the Warhawk bistro.

The money on your meal plan can be used with your student ID or with new the new grub hub system. AUMs newest implement is the Grub hub system which allows for students to order ahead and just pick up your food. No waiting in long lines or having to order at the counter. Aums website recently posted directions on how to download and use this new system. If you already have a Grub hub account, the website offers directions on how to use it on campus as well. This new system is hassle free and is made to benefit you, the student. To find and read all about the new system and any other questions you might have simply go online to AUM’s website go to the student affairs tab and click the dining tab. If you have any specific questions pertaining meal plans, the café or dining in general, you can reach out to student affairs or as always you can call the AUM general inquiry number which is (334) 244-3000. If you weren’t hungry when you started reading my guess is, you are now. See you in the café!
