“It was actually really fun, I was so surprised,” Loc Tran, a freshman who attended the convocation said.
The fresh faces of AUM were led into a welcoming convocation on Friday, August 22. The ceremony consisted of speeches from Chancellor Carl A. Stockton, College of Education professor Dr. Gilbert Duenas, and Student Government President Tyreanna Causey, as well as performances by AUMcapella, the AUM cheerleaders, and the Jammin’ Warhawks. “I didn’t expect all of that, I thought it was just going to be boring,” freshman Kyse Alzatari said.
