In the spirit of the season Auburn University at Montgomery’s (AUM) campus held “Shriek Week” as the school colors are black and orange, and the Communication Department was part of these celebrations with a Halloween faculty-mentee party Monday night. The purpose of the event was for faculty mentors to meet their student mentees. The week before an email was sent out about a scavenger hunt to where students could win up prizes, including first place: $100 toward your student account; second place: lunch with Bethany Davis at WSFA and third place: $50 value gift basket. Come Out and Celebrate Halloween!

BY: Daaiyah Latham For this year’s Shriek Week, Auburn University at Montgomery's Campus Activities Board is throwing a costume party on Halloween night from 7-10 p.m. in Taylor Center 230. This party will give students a chance to enjoy the holidays and show off their Halloween costumes. This party will also give students a break from school before finals, and it will give everyone time to mingle and enjoy music.  Everyone loves prizes, especially college students! CAB will be hosting a costume contest. As Shriek Week approaches, I’m excited to see what’s in store and how far it’s come since 2015. It’s time for a blast from the past.  Shriek Week is an unforgettable experience! Students and faculty/staff are all welcome to enjoy the festivities of the week. The whole campus gets involved in one way or another. All clubs, organizations, and departments gather and collaborate for Halloween-themed events and activities.
