AUM Athletics, College of Nursing and Health Sciences to Host Blood Drive

BY: Jessica Alldredge

Montgomery, Ala. – Nov. 11, 2020 – In a time where everyone needs a little help, there are a lot of ways that AUM students can provide that help. Students can find little ways to give back to the community. Sometimes that means giving of their time, and sometimes that means giving of themselves. In this case, students have a chance to give of themselves literally.

AUM provides many opportunities throughout the year for students to get involved and help out their fellow man (or woman). This includes frequent blood drives on the main campus. There will be a blood drive on campus on Tuesday, November 17 from 10am to 4pm hosted by AUM Athletics and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Students wanting to donate blood will find the bloodmobile next to the athletics complex.

Giving blood is a simple and easy way to help out someone in need. Students can take part between classes or make time to stop by campus to make a donation. Either way, there are usually snacks provided for those who participate.

Anyone taking part in giving blood during the blood drive will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies, and all possible social distancing guidelines will be followed
