Anyone who knows me knows that I love any type of Christmas market. I always have to go to Holiday Market and Christmas Village every year. This year, I decided to look at my favorite shops at Holiday Market this year. Here are my top 5 favorite ones.
- RK Collections Boutique
The moment that I walked up to this booth, I fell in love. They had out their fall and winter collection, being that we were at a Christmas-themed event. What I loved was the fact that the pieces were all stylish and trendy. If you found something that you liked, it was likely that it came in multiple colors, so that you could find the color that was best for you. They had several things in plaid, but it was done in such a stylish way that it made me want all the plaid. I sadly did not buy anything there, but I was given a business card to look them up. They are located in Arkansas, so you cannot really go to the store. However, you can shop online at rkcollectionsboutique.com.
- Governor’s Mansion Gift Shop
This shop caught my attention because the first thing I saw was velvet. I love velvet, especially in the winter season. I saw this cute wine-colored velvet top that I just had to have. They had several other clothing options to choose from, as well as some home décor items and little gifts to give. It is located at 30 Finley Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama.
- Embellish
This booth was a bit smaller than the first two that I talked about; however, they did not lack in what they sold. One of the main things I noticed was the fact that they had adorable graphic t-shirts. I thought that the Alabama and Auburn long-sleeved shirts they displayed were fabulous. They also had a section in which they sold home décor items. The reason this shop caught the eye of my family and me was because of the children’s gifts that they had. We fell in love with this sweet, little purple hippopotamus stuffed animal. They had several other stuffed animals like it that came with storybooks. It was definitely unique. They are located at 8111 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, Alabama.
- Priester’s Pecans
Anyone who has lived in Alabama for a while will recognize the name Priester’s Pecans. It is very popular here, and you usually will pass it on the way to the beach. At their booth, they were selling their signature sweets. You could sample anything before you made a purchase. I have always loved their Divinity candy, but any of their sweets are good. You can visit the store or order online at www.priesters.com.
- Emily’s Heirloom Pound Cakes
This last store is truly yummy. I happen to love pound cake, but it is hard to find any as good as Emily’s Heirloom Pound Cakes. They are just like the cakes your Southern grandma would make, and they come in different flavors like lemon blueberry and seasonal cranberry orange. I have tried several and have not found one that I do not like. You can find them online at www.emilysheirloompoundcakes.com.
Be sure to come to Holiday Market next year at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex to find your own favorite shops.
