Warhawks: It’s Homecoming Week. This week has been filled with games, free food, athletic events and fun. While there is so much more fun left this week, the time that everyone has been waiting for is finally here! It’s time to vote for our 2022 AUM Homecoming Court!
Since Monday, candidates have been working hard and campaigning throughout the campus. You may have seen them on the Quad or in the café at their tables. It’s your chance to make their hard work worth it. Cast your vote and make your choice now. The polls opened up at 8 a.m., Thursday, February 10, and they close tomorrow, February 11, at 11:59 p.m. You can vote for the candidates by logging in to your MyAum Portal and clicking on the Web Content display.
Candidate positions include Homecoming Queen and Homecoming King, Junior Representative, Sophomore Representative and Freshman Representative. Be sure to choose wisely, because all votes are final and cannot be redone. The Homecoming festivities do not stop here— make sure to stop by the Quad the rest of the week to meet the candidates and grab sweet treats from their tables. The candidates will also be in attendance tonight (February 10) at the basketball game as the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams host Valdosta State at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Homecoming Bonfire is tonight (February 10) from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, February 12, the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams will host West Florida at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. for the official AUM Homecoming Game. The winner of your 2022 Homecoming Court will be crowned and announced during the Men’s halftime. So, don’t wait! Stop by the tailgate before the game to grab some grub and come in and support our fellow Warhawks.
Good luck to each candidate!
