The Warhawk volleyball team has been on a roll lately, winning their fifth straight game this past weekend. After starting 0-2 this season, the Warhawks bounced back hard.

On Saturday, Sept. 14, AUM defeated North Greenville University (3-1) in a fantastic finish. The first set was a hard one with both teams going on runs taking the lead back and forth. In the end, the Lady Warhawks went on a 5-1 run to give them the first set win.

The second set was another nail biter for the team, but they eventually won after breaking a (27-27) tie. A kill by the Warhawks’ own Jaylyn Felder sealed the second set win with a (29-27) victory. AUM did lose the third set (25-21) after another hard battle.

The fourth and final set was a good one that the Warhawks were able to pull out. With a (25-22) set win, the Lady Warhawks moved to (6-3) overall. At home they are undefeated (2-0), and with neutral games they are 4-2.  The Warhawks finished with 55 kills in the match and North Greenville University finished with only 51.

Coming up, the Warhawks have three straight home games that can boost the team to 9-3. The first is against the University of Montevallo on Tuesday, September 17. Following the University of West Alabama on the 27th and Mississippi College on the 28th. Make sure to come out and support your Lady Warhawks this season.
