Warhawk Spotlight: Cameron Brown

Cameron Brown, a senior at AUM, will be graduating this May. He is majoring in marketing. Brown chose marketing because it is a very diverse field of career opportunities. He decided to go to college to further his education and start his journey as a young adult. According to Brown, college is all about choices and making conscious adult decisions.

Here at AUM, Brown is a part of Sigma Alpha Pi (Honor Society Organization) and Fab Five Feeds the Needy (Organization started by True Divine Men’s Youth). Whenever he’s not busy being involved on campus, he loves to read in his spare time. Reading is his peace. He loves magazines, novels, and other informal articles.

His biggest influences throughout college have been his mother and friends. They have always encouraged him to never give up when something gets difficult. After all, the most valuable moments are those that require much effort. Dr. Funchess’ classes influenced him the most while attending AUM.

Brown believes the definition of success is believing and achieving your accomplishments, no matter what they are. After graduating, he plans on going back to Atlanta and work for Georgia Media’s Casting Department. He has interned there since 2011.

He advises the upcoming seniors to, “emphasis effort, and not to give up. There will be a lot of projects, presentations, and tests, that you may not be ready for; but all of them are worth it in the long run.”
