Theatre AUM is starting the year off by presenting the many talents of multiple students in the annual Showcase. The Showcase will be a compilation of scenes, monologues, and songs that revolve around a theme— this year’s theme is entitled, “World Tour: Acting Showcase,” and it will focus on the works of international playwrights from around the globe. The Theatre Department is hosting the Showcase because it is a perfect way to get many students who are wishing to participate the chance to be involved.
The Showcase also prepares students for professional auditions that occur throughout the academic year. The ensemble is made up of students from all five Colleges at Auburn University at Montgomery. There are over 20 students who are in the acting ensemble and approximately 20 students who are behind the scenes.
The Showcase is September 19-21, 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. and September 29 at 2:00 p.m. The doors to the theater will open 30 minutes prior to showtime. Having problems locating the theater? The theater is located on the second floor of the Taylor Center. The Showcase is completely free, so come show your support for Theatre AUM.
