AlienStock is a festival that was originally going to be held in Rachel, Nevada- the closest town to Area 51. The festival is intentionally held around the time and location of the “Storm Area 51” event. Just weeks before the festival was supposed to happen, they switched locations.
AlienStock has now been moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. There was a “lack of infrastructure, planning, and risk management, along with concerns raised for the safety of the expected 10,000+ attendees.” There is no longer any affiliation between Rachel, Nevada and AlienStock.
AlienStock is joining the Area 51 Celebration event that is being held in Downtown Las Vegas on Sept. 19. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the event begins at 8 p.m. There will be Electronic Dance Music artists at the event, along with art being displayed.
