Join AUM and the River Region in the Out of the Darkness Walk to raise awareness for suicide prevention on October 27, 2019.
Registration will start at 12:00 pm at AUM’s Moore Hall, with an opening ceremony starting at 1:30 pm. The actual walk will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Online registration will close at 12:00 pm October 25, 2019, but anyone can still register in person the day of the event. This walk and donations raised fund the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Register or donate online at www.afsp.donordrive.com. Cash donations are also welcome the day of the walk.
The Out of the Darkness walk helps to fund the AFSP to obtain new research and educational programs, as well as help support survivors of suicide loss. The AFSP has set a goal to decrease the annual suicide rate by 20% by 2025. It’s with help from donors and walkers that they have been able to set this goal.
