Most Interesting Channels to Watch on YouTube

BY: Savanna Sabb

Let’s face it, YouTube has become everyone’s safe-haven. There is something for everybody on there. There are cooking channels for the cooking enthusiast, there are gaming channels for the die-hard gamers, beauty channels for the make- up lovers. I’m sure by now you get my drift. In the land of YouTube everyone is welcome. With so many options to choose from you never really know if you are going to waste your time watching a YouTuber who turns out not to be your cup of tea. To save you some time I created a list of YouTube channels that are entertaining to watch and aren’t like the basic channels that all seem to be the same. All of the channels are hyperlinked so if you see one you like just click on their name and enjoy.

#1. Hailey Reese

Hailey Reese’s channel focuses on the supernatural and unsolved mysteries. She has a love for anything that is considered unbelievable such as ghost stories and conspiracy theories. Hailey’s content includes story times from her childhood where she recalls having alleged run ins with ghost, she visits rumored haunted sightings, shares stories from her subscribers who she refers to as her “Reese’s Pieces”, and also gives insight on conspiracy theories and unsolved mysteries. Hailey’s channel is not like the typical YouTube channel she has original content and has a strong relationship with her subscribers.

#2. BuzzFeed

Has a little bit of everything on its channel, it is mainly known for their website where they provide the public with personality quizzes, celebrity news, recipes, breaking news etc. The YouTube channel is basically an extension of their website. The workers at Buzzfeed are very creative with their content they produce various skits, interviews, and videos all on topics that are current in today’s society

#3. Try Guys

The try guys were originally apart of the BuzzFeed channel but eventually branched off and began creating content on their own channel. The try guys are 4 friends that try different activities for instance, in one video they tried being dads for a week in another they wore heels for a day. They basically try things that are out of the norm of their everyday lives and discuss with their viewers what they learned and took away from the experience. The videos are quite entertaining

#4. Cut (the line up series)
The Cut has a few different series on their channel but what I find the most interesting is the lineup series. You know the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover?” Well in this segment the participants do just that. Out of a line of about 7-10 people one person has to guess different things about each person, for example a plastic surgeon guessed who had plastic surgery, another person guessed who had what phobia. You get to see that people aren’t usually how they seem.

#5. Damon and Jo
Damon and Jo are creators of the traveling vlog “shut up and go” the pair are also best friends who met in college and decided to travel the world together. They give their viewers tips and tricks on different travel subjects like how to travel internationally on a budget, how to learn different languages fast and the best luggage to bring with you on a backpack voyage. They both have bubbly personalities and are never boring to watch. You know how you are watching a video and you start to read the comment or look in the recommended video section because you are starting to get bored? That would most likely never happen when you watch Damon and Jo.
