Editorial: Prom in College

As a college student, there are some things that you may not want to give up when you arrive to college. In other words, it would be super fun if you could feel like a king and queen again and participate in such a memorable event like prom.

At AUM we do have various clubs and organizations that allow the inner kid to come out. Even those events that make us remember so good and not so good memories of high school! However, what if there could be one big prom that every student on campus could attend? What a great way for us to relive that precious high school dance. Now ,think about it that would be one amazing party!

Here are four reasons we need to experience prom in college:

First, you will have the chance to relive your high school days. Everyone would like the chance in life to feel like a kid again. You have the chance to party all the worries away from the entire semester. Additionally, you’ll get to celebrate another semester that you made it through.

Second, you’ll be able to do the things you missed out on in high school. If you didn’t have a date in high school, but you have one now that you want to show off. On the other hand, you might have taken a date in high school and want to be a free agent this time around. Nevertheless, now you have a second chance at this thing.

Third, you have the chance to look like a Hollywood star on the red carpet. I’m sure this time around you might have a little more taste than your high school self. Also, I’m positive that you are tired of seeing your classmates in the same joggers and t-shirts every week. This is the time to transition into princes and princesses on this magical night.

There is no denying that prom is one of the most memorable times in your high school career besides graduation! Here at AUM students love to make long lasting traditions that will never get old. Having a prom is one of the many ways to boost campus spirit, and bring everyone together like a family.

This is your chance to celebrate with your college classmates before they go off into their careers. Soon we will all become too busy to attend grand celebrations as college roommates, best friends, or even orientation leaders. Remember that we are never too old to celebrate, dress up, and have a good time!
