Curtiss Mascot Tryouts

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a mascot? AUM is holding mascot tryouts for the 2018-19 school year. Tryouts will be held April 17th in the AUM Gymnasium.

Curtiss the Warhawk is known as the AUM mascot. Multiple mascot positions are available for the upcoming school year. Students can also tryout for the mascot committee.

There are requirements for the mascot position. Students must have a GPA of at least a 2.5, and they must also have a flexible school schedule. Bring a printed copy of your fall schedule to tryouts, so the committee can know your availability. Students interested in trying out for the position also need to be in healthy physical state. Mascots are constantly on the move and are very active.

It is important to have strong leadership skills if you wish to be Curtiss. Mascots are constantly in the view of the public eye, so being a leader within a crowd is essential. This is also applicable for those interested in being a part of the committee. The mascot committee also requires at least a 2.5 GPA and an available schedule. Members must be team players and work together throughout the year.

If being the AUM Mascot or a part of the committee peaks your interest, consider trying out this Monday. More information concerning tryouts can be found on aum.com/events or ask a fellow AUM cheerleader.
