Creating Healthy Relationships

BY: Jessica Alldredge

Montgomery, Ala. – Oct. 31, 2020 – Creating relationships as an adult can be difficult to do. It takes a lot of work and understanding of how to maintain relationships. You need to have a stable base in order to build a relationship, and that base needs to be healthy. Being a college student today means you have little time for relationships, so it’s good to know how to keep those relationships healthy so they last well into the future.

AUM’s Counseling and Health Promotion Services will be offering a group session on Tuesdays during the month of November that will allow students to learn about relationships and how to grow them. These group sessions will start on November 3, 2020, at 3:30 pm.

They will focus on skills for creating positive and healthy relationships such as communication, assertiveness, connectedness and support. These group sessions will help students grow their understanding of relationships and how to better them.

Knowing how to create relationships in your adult years is a very important skill, especially in a world that seems to be so fast-paced. These group sessions will provide a way to understand relationships, maintain their health and better comprehend the process of relationships.

This class is open to all students. If interested in attending, please contact AUM’s Counseling and Health Promotion Services at (334) 244-3469 or counselingcenter@aum.edu.
