Have you ever been bored on campus with nothing to do? Here’s a list of things to do.
Warhawk Alley is located on the first floor of Taylor Center. In Warhawk Alley, you can play a friendly competitive game of pool or ping-pong. You can also play video games with the PlayStation and XBox. This a great spot to meet new friends and mingle. Warhawk Alley is open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m.- 9 p.m. and Friday from 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
The Wellness Center is a place to better your health and have fun at the same time. The Wellness Center includes a pool and jacuzzi, an indoor rock-climbing wall, and different indoor sports like basketball, Zumba, etc. You must have a Warhawk ID to enter. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday: 5 a.m.- 10 p.m, Friday: 5 a.m.- 9 p.m, Saturday: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m, and Sunday: 12 p.m.- 9 p.m. The climbing wall hours are Monday-Thursday: 3:30-7:30 p.m, Closed Friday and Saturday and Beginner Climbing Sunday: 3:00-5:00 p.m. Pool hours are subject to change– the hourly schedule is posted in the Wellness Center outside of the pool area and on the website: http://wellnesscenter.aum.edu/wellness-center/aquatics.
AUM’s Baptist Campus Ministries provides weekly events for students. It is located across from the soccer field. On Wednesdays, they provide $2 lunch between 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Surrounding churches provide lunch, and your first meal is free! On the last Monday of the month, they serve dinner at 7:15 p.m. in Taylor Center and worship at 8 p.m. They have small group that meets weekly that are TBA, but you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram for more details. There should never be a time you are bored with all this excitement, but if you need more, you can always get involved with the clubs AUM provides. There are tons of student involvement clubs! I hope this article has provided you with a lot of fun ideas for if you ever get bored.
