Spring Break is right around the corner, and every college student wants to have a great time! Here are some tips on the most wanted and sunniest places available so you can make this Spring Break the best of your life.
- Panama City Beach, Fla.
Panama City Beach features beautiful white sand beaches, and it’s only a 3-hour drive from Montgomery, Ala. The prices are moderate, and the nightlife is outrageous. More than half a million people have visited for Spring Break in the past few years! This is an affordable and exciting option for those who don’t want to spend money on plane tickets.
- New Orleans, La.
New Orleans has a fun atmosphere with incredible history surrounding it. The delicious traditional Cajun food is a great addition to the culinary part of any trip. Situated only five hours away from Montgomery, it is also an affordable proposal for those who are looking to save money and have fun. With its incredible nightlife, this city is famous for amazing parties and Mardi Gras, which is also around college Spring Break dates.
- Gulf Shores, Ala.
The white beaches of Gulf Shores are only three hours away from Montgomery and provide a little more of a laid-back experience. It’s family-friendly for Spring Breakers, but there are a lot of options for beach bars. Flora-Bama and Pink Pony Pub are two of the most popular Spring Break stops.
- Miami, Fla.
Here’s an international proposal for those trying to escape Alabamian reality. From beach bars to fancy nightclubs, Miami offers a variety of options for college students to make the most out of their Spring Break. It’s a longer 8-hour drive from Montgomery, but for those willing to spend on flight tickets, it’s only a 2-hour flight out of Atlanta, Ga.

Atlanta is a big city located only two and a half hours away from Montgomery. There are a lot of free festivals in the spring with crafts, music and art. There are also lots of state parks and trails, plus the Georgia Aquarium. You’ll find delicious food from all types there is to imagine, along with incredible nightlife and a big variety of clubs to choose from. Atlanta is the spot to go, whether you’re single or dating.
- Disney World- Orlando, Fla.
Disney World features four theme parks, two water parks and two dozen resorts to choose from. The best time to visit is during the spring due to incredible weather and shorter lines to attractions. It’s a 7-hour drive from Montgomery, but a short 2-hour flight departing from Atlanta will get you to the dreamland. No matter your age, Disney is a dream come true.
- South Padre Island, Tx.
Located off the southern coast of Texas, South Padre Island is a barrier island resort town where students and families enjoy water sports, kiteboards, and jet skis. This location was named one of the US’s Top Spring Break Destinations. No matter the goal of the trip, you can enjoy everything from nice dolphin tours to crazy beach parties with worldwide famous attractions. It is a 14-hour drive from Montgomery, but a three-and-a-half-hour flight out of Atlanta. It’s the perfect spot for the craziest Spring Break.

Daytona Beach is a beautiful escape to the sunny Florida beaches, and it’s a 7-hour drive out of Montgomery. Daytona Beach is one of the original legendary Spring Break locations and is known for massive beach parties. The location is also famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches and NASCAR. This is another great option for those trying to rage on Spring Break.

Cancun is a cheap and exotic location for pool parties and festivals. Featuring lots of all-inclusive resorts and several beach clubs, Cancun is an option for those trying to explore foreign ground during Spring Break. With an average of 300,000 Spring Breakers per year, Cancun is one of the most popular and well-known locations for this time. Note that a passport will be required in order to explore the amazing landscapes of Mexico, and also a flight. Flights are available leaving from Atlanta.
