15th Annual Eastchase Farmers Market

BY: Ambria Davis

Do you like fresh fruits, vegetables, and jams? What about organic homemade lotions and soaps?  Come to the 15th Annual Farmers Market, located in the parking lot next to the Eastchase Dillard’s, from May 11th– September 28th. It will be held every Saturday through the summer from 7 a.m. – noon.

Local vendors from all over the state come here to sell their goods and promote their brand within the community. This farmers market has over 30 specialized vendors in attendance who sell: vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy products, healthy pet food, coffee, soaps, and more.

Here are a few of the vendors that will be in attendance:

  • Alabama Sweet Tea Company makes their tea the old-fashioned way with no artificial additives and preservatives.
  • Blue Ribbon Dairy is a dairy farm that specializes in producing high-quality milk.
  • Fennel + Figs specializes in making jams and preservatives, baked goods, and hand-blended herbs.
  • Little Red Soaps creates handmade soaps and lip balms from goat milk.

During the cool summer mornings, you will see many attending the market with their beloved pets. There are even raffles for free or discounted items on some Saturdays. It is a truly fun and exciting way to start your Saturday morning.

If you have a product or service you would like to bring to the community, you can sign up or find more information on the local vendors in the farmers market at their website: https://www.theshoppesateastchase.com/farmersMarket/
