Every year, Alabama State University hosts an annual Turkey Day Classic. The Classic Parade will start on November 25 at 9 a.m. in Downtown Montgomery. After the Turkey Day Classic Parade, Alabama State will take part in the 97th Turkey Day Classic Game. They will be playing Tuskegee University at 2 p.m. inside the ASU Stadium.

The Turkey Day Classic Parade is a known tradition in Montgomery. Families and friends from all over come to this festival to partake in this historic event. When it comes to entering the parade, only 25 decorated vehicles will be allowed to enter, and it is first come-first served entry.

All floats must be fully decorated on both sides with names on both sides as well so the judges may see who they must pick from. Bands are allowed, but members must be at least 10 years of age and in uniforms walking in an organized fashion. Parents must chaperone all children and teens who are under the age of eighteen. The entry deadline for the parade will be Friday, November 12.
