The awarding winning play Arcadia can now be seen at Auburn University at Montgomery. This show is filled with mathematics, literature, romance, and time travel.
The play was written by Tom Stoppered, who is also known for writing the screenplay Shakespeare in Love.
The play takes place at a country estate in England called Sidley Park. The time frame goes back and forth from the 1880s and the early 90s. The audience will soon see the relationships between each era and the order and disorders of each situation. Even though time goes on, history has a way of repeating itself.
This play is full of dramatic irony because the audience gets to see both sides of the story.
While some of the 1880s characters are trying to solve algebraic equations, landscape plans, and at the same time being scandalous, the 1990s characters are trying to find the truth about what happened in the past through letters, books, and pictures.
Not only will people have the opportunity to watch a live performance, but they will also have the chance to have a good laugh since the play is a comedy.
