AUM’s Pups & Cups Stress Relief Campaign

BY: Shuntia Gowdy

AUM’s Writing for Public Relations students are partnering with AUM’s Center for Disability Services and the Counseling Center to host “Pups & Cups” on Monday, March 9, 2020 on the AUM Quad to help students, faculty and staff overcome the stress of midterms. The campaign will run from 11-1:00 p.m.

AUM’s Center for Disability Services will provide individuals with a chance to interact with stress-relief dogs after the mental strain of midterms. The Center provides academic support services to students with disabilities. The Counseling Center will also be in attendance to inform students about their services and show them how they can set up an appointment. Most people use comfort foods to help cope with stress. Therefore, “Pups & Cups” will be providing free cupcakes to those who participate in the event.

This campaign is intended to raise awareness about the overwhelming stress that students endure on a regular basis, as well as during midterms and finals.
