Prattville’s Parade of Pumpkins

BY: Molly Gray

The City of Prattville is hosting the First Parade of Pumpkins from October 25 to November 2.

The event will be held in Historic Downtown Prattville. There are two ways to participate. First, you can carve or decorate a pumpkin and bring it to downtown between October 25 and October 28 to be displayed in certain areas. The City of Prattville will provide a light for each pumpkin displayed during the night. No candles are allowed.

The second way to participate is to walk through downtown Prattville and explore the various decorated and carved pumpkins that are displayed. Several storefronts will have festive and seasonal displays for your personal enjoyment.

This event is family-friendly. It is open to anyone to participate and free to all. The City believes this is a great way to get into the spirit of the season and show your artistic ability to fellow citizens.

The City of Prattville will also be hosting their annual Candywalk on October 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
