When it comes to diversity the game of sports brings everyone together no matter their height, weight, or skin color. AUM is having their yearly Fall Intramural season coming up, and these sports will be available:
Volleyball season starts Sept. 3rd and will end Oct. 11th.
Flag football season will kick off Sept. 8th and will end Dec. 1st. With college football and the NFL season right around the corner, this should be a great turn out with our student body.
Frisbee golf registration runs through Sept. 17th, and the season will run from Sept. 18th through Oct. 21st. This sport gives those who love frisbee and golf the pleasure of combining both into a sport where they can let their hair down and have fun.
Basketball 3 on 3 league registrations run through Sept. 30th. It is important to get all registrations done by that day because the season will begin the same day and finish up on the 29th of Nov. This seems to be the students’ favorite league due to the turnouts of registrations and those who come out to the Wellness Center to watch the participants in action.
Tennis registration will kick off on the 10th of Sept. and run through Oct 1st. The season will begin on the same day and will end on the 14th of Nov. Not only will there be singles, but there will also be doubles where the players can team up with one another. With the sport of tennis becoming more popular every day, I would be surprised if our tennis courts aren’t flooded with eager students chomping at the bit to compete.
Badminton will round out the intramural games. There will be singles and double matches with registrations starting on Oct. 7th– Oct. 22nd. Matches will start on the same day, and the season will finish up on the 27th of November.
