On Friday, April 26, the Second Annual Montgomery Seafood and Arts Festival will take place in downtown Montgomery at the Union Station Train Shed. The festival will run between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. and a minimum $5 donation is required to enter. Proceeds from the event will benefit Child Protect, a group that supports the victims of child abuse. Live entertainment will be provided by a visiting local artist, Wyatt Edmondson. In addition, local arts, crafts, and seafood vendors will be on site, as well as a cash bar for those who want to come out and enjoy the festival.

Wyatt Edmondson grew up in Montgomery but currently resides in Nashville, TN where he is working on releasing his first EP according to his website. The website describes him as being a “young rock/folk singer.” Some from the area might already be familiar with Wyatt Edmondson due to him releasing two demo projects when he attended Troy University- Higher Ground and Lovers Lake. If you miss him at the festival, you will still have an opportunity to see him play later that night. Wyatt Edmondson will play at 10:30 p.m. at 1048 Jazz and Blues Bar located at 1104 E. Fairview Ave. in the Old Cloverdale area of Montgomery following the festival.

The 2nd Annual Montgomery Seafood and Arts Festival is being put on by the City of Montgomery’s Special Events Department, for more information you can call 334-625-2100.
