The AUM Women’s Tennis team will have their last home match this Sunday, April 15, 2018. The Warhawks will face Mississippi College. The match is set to start at 12:00 p.m. Both Auburn University at Montgomery and Mississippi College belong to the Gulf South Conference.
This will be a very challenging match for the Warhawk women. The women’s tennis team at Mississippi College has a strong record of 17-1. The AUM women have a record of 8-9. AUM is the underdog in this tennis series, but a win is definitely possible with the talent the AUM women have.
Mississippi College women’s tennis team is ranked second in the conference. AUM sit in sixth place, but since AUM is new to the Gulf South Conference, they are technically not allowed to have a rank in the standings. Mississippi College has a conference record of 10-1, and AUM’s record for the conference is 7-4.
The AUM women will be coming from a winning match series against Lee University. The Warhawks took six wins on Friday. Lee University is also a part of the Gulf South Conference, and they are currently ranked seventh overall.
This will be the last set of home matches for AUM. The tennis team and coaches encourage fans and fellow Warhawks to support the women’s team this weekend against Mississippi College.
