All Auburn University at Montgomery students who live on campus have to be out of their dorms by 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018. There are flyers posted in all housing facilities on each floor. There will be two ways to check out in your dorms, standard or express checkout.
Standard Checkout you must use a signup sheet and schedule a time with your Resident Assistant (RA) 24 hours in advanced. Next, you and your roommate(s) must fill out the roommate checkout agreement. This form is to verify who is in charge to clean what part of the room before the inspection. Then, there will be a standard checkout envelope giving to you. You are to place all housing keys in this envelope. Finally, take the standard checkout envelope to the nest and drop it in the box labeled drop box, right beside Housing and Residence Life office.
Express Checkout is slightly different from standard checkout. First, complete the roommate checkout agreement form stating what each roommate will clean. Once you verify your room is clean and empty, lock the door. Get an express checkout envelop and place all housing keys in that envelope. Finally, drop the express checkout envelope in the labeled drop box, right beside Housing and Residence Life office.
Fees will occur for all rooms that are not clean, damages that were not there before you moved in, keys that have not been turned in, and not checking out properly. There will be a $50 charge per key not turned in. If you fail to check out properly, that is also a $50 fee.
This is for all students who will not be attending summer school.
